Britt’s Pick: Katkim’s Éternal Cloud Ring

Share

Leading up to Valentine’s Day, we continue our weekly heart-themed Britt’s Picks—no easy feat, as the jewelry world is positively crammed with countless tempting variations. I’ll take heart jewelry any which way it comes, from the on-the-nose to the abstract to even the anatomically correct.

Katkim’s sculptural Éternal Cloud ring—from the brand’s Éternal collection, which it describes as “celebrating love”—has a heart design so subtle it’s almost a secret, representing a well-protected heart for the person who wears it.

When we view the ring from the side, as pictured above, we witness its heart shape—gloriously puffy, with bubbled edges and a surface of pavé diamonds. On the finger, the ring looks almost like a bow; looking down at it, you might not know it’s a heart. Voluminous at the sides, the piece cinches at the center, like a perfectly fitted belt.

Katkim’s 18k gold Éternal Cloud ring is priced at $10,200 with diamonds, $3,000 for a mini version without diamonds.

Available in 18k yellow, white, or rose gold, the Éternal Cloud ring is offered with or without diamonds, or half-and-half—the best of both worlds—for those who just can’t choose. The plain gold version also comes in “mini,” a slimmer style that’s perfect for stacking (or pairing with an engagement ring).

Katkim’s special monthlong trunk show at Bergdorf Goodman—marking the first time the Los Angeles–based brand has been sold in New York—continues through the end of January.
