In the continued effort to convey my obsession with the ear cuff trend, I was thrilled to find that Bibi van der Velden, purveyor of all things high fashion and all around punk rock, has created a handful of the adornments; wearable works of art that the designer does so well. This piece in particular is made in sterling silver with multicolor feathers in shades of green, yellow, and red—perfect for the transition into fall, which can’t get here soon enough. On the other hand, this piece would be perfect for a summer vacation, to pair with the day’s white bikini (but please don’t swim in this) or to dress up that evening’s LBD. I know this trend isn’t for everyone, but if you love it like I do and happen to know that some of your shoppers embrace the edgier side of fashion jewelry, this is a killer option to have in store. It’s a standout, it’s different, and it’s just plain fun. After all, isn’t that what carefree summer fashion is all about?
