A very wearable, everyday pendant—and a good luck charm to boot—Anabel Higgins‘ Grace pendant appeals to the vintage hound in everyone. It’s sapphire and diamond paste that gleams from this piece, a less expensive alternative to precious gemstones, prevalent in a time when the rarity—and consequent high price—of such gemstones made them a hard bargain for many jewelry buyers. Still, those with a thing for antique and vintage jewelry can appreciate its history, and, if they’re anything like me, simply like the way it looks. The juxtaposition: A new, twisted rope chain, in the same antiqued finish as the horseshoe. I think its width and somewhat chunky style give the pendant just the heft it deserves.
