The moment I saw it, I knew this would be my favorite piece from the entire show—and it was my first day in Vegas that I laid eyes on this necklace. From the Idaho-based Parlé Jewelry Designs, this beauty was actually featured in the May issue of JCK magazine, but, like any mesmerizing jewel, to see it in person is an incomparable experience. Each hand-carved rose gold flower gathered on this floaty piece is illuminated by a gemstone—be it opal, the recently discovered Lotus Garnet, or diamonds—forming a cascade of color and splendor that’s just beautiful beyond words. It took three months to get the design right. It does lay just perfectly, as is evident when donned by the brand’s über-talented designer, Brecken Farnsworth (pictured, at top). Farnsworth tells me that it’s possible the design could spawn an entire collection—perhaps by JCK Las Vegas 2018?—so I know what I will most be looking forward to next year.
