Britt’s Halloween Pick: Steve Soffa’s Aviator Skull Ring

Happy Halloween! It’s finally here—it feels like a long time coming, doesn’t it? I made the mistake of kicking off celebrations too early this year (at the time, I didn’t think there was such a thing), and now I find myself having nearly left behind what is often my favorite holiday. I’ve moved into Christmas mode—and I’m sure many retailers are already right there with me, for planning purposes at least.

But this piece from Steve Soffa brings me right back to the now and has me totally ready to get my Halloween movie marathon on tonight. Combining the whimsy of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! with the macabre of Evil Dead, the hand-carved-and-set ring puts Halloween in a pretty (and also kind of creepy) little package.

With its glittering diamond teeth and startling tsavorite eyes, this aviator isn’t just for the spookiest holiday of the year, either. Skulls are often a big hit in jewelry, so rest assured this isn’t a jewel destined to see the light only once a year—it’s much too good for that.
