Halloween is finally only two days away. (Although it feels like we’ve been celebrating for a long time, doesn’t it?) I’m still on high alert for anything that even remotely sends me vibes of the sinister holiday. Here’s another: Bibi van der Velden’s Midsummer Night’s Dream cuff. Just as perfect for Halloween as it would be any other day of the year, the 18k white gold creation—and it truly is a creation—is part of the designer’s collaboration with Swiss jewelry house VIERI. A web of diamonds is woven in white and brown, with delicate open spaces and geometric curves, while an itsy-bitsy spider sits off-center, calmly watching from its net-like perch. Bibi van der Velden is certainly known as a designer that creates immaculate, art-to-wear jewels, but she may have outdone herself with this eerie masterpiece.
