Ethical fine jewelry brand Brilliant Earth has unveiled a fun new feature on its website: a click-through quiz that lets couples discover the perfect signature cocktail for their wedding.
To discover their ideal drink, spouses-to-be answer a series of questions about themselves, which result in (tada!) a final beverage choice—complete with step-by-step instructions for making and mixing it. The final drink is meant to reflect the couple’s combined personality.
Users looking to go alcohol-free can click on a mocktail tab on the results page to see a hooch-free version of the same recipe. The quiz, “What Should Your Signature Wedding Cocktail Be?“, lives on the retailer’s website under the News tab.

Questions in the quiz include: “What personality trait best fits your partner?” (answer choices: affectionate, sweet, adventurous, and charismatic); and “Where is your dream honeymoon spot?” (choices: beach, ski resort, across the pond, and stay-cation).
“We see couples really wanting rings that reflect their personalities and unique aspects of their relationship,” Jaimie Herrmann, vice president of marketing for Brilliant Earth, tells JCK. “With this in mind, we wanted to see how we could help couples add even more personalized touches throughout their…planning.”
After revealing to the quiz that I appreciate my hubby’s kindness above all other traits, would prefer to vacation in Europe, and admitting that no, we do not exercise together (couple goals!), the cocktail generator informed me that our signature bevvy is a 42 and Twisted:
- 1 1/2 ounces Vodka (42 Below)
- 1/2 ounce Grapefruit Juice
- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Garnish: Grapefruit
- Fill a highball glass with ice.
- Add vodka, grapefruit juice, and bitters, then fill with lemonade.
- Stir gently and garnish with a grapefruit slice.
Good to know!
Of course, quizzes always make for awesome clickbait. They often go viral and are highly shareable on social—which is where brides and grooms are finding ideas and shopping these days. And this one, hosted and branded by a trusted jewelry company, feels particularly novel.
