Danish jewelry brand Trollbeads announced the appointment of Brenda Berger as CEO of Trollbeads U.S. Berger will report to company executives in the global headquarters in Copenhagen, but will be based in Princeton, N.J., the brand’s U.S. headquarters. She starts her new post Jan. 1, 2014.

Berger comes from the fashion/intimate apparel company Hanky Panky, where she had served as vice president of sales and marketing since 2004. While there, she managed sales, customer service, marketing, and e-commerce.

Interim CEO Jan Stig Andersen told the media that Trollbeads hired Berger for her “entrepreneurial mindset and highly relevant leadership experience” to take the firm “to the next level and build an even stronger organization in the U.S.” Berger’s “business acumen and fashion wholesale expertise, as well as experience developing small-scale retail businesses,” he continued, makes her a “perfect fit for Trollbeads.”
