Blue Nile Creates Specialized WNBA Championship Ring For Barack Obama

President Obama was presented with a 2010 WNBA
championship ring created by Blue Nile as part of a meeting with 2010 champions
the Seattle Storm at the White House Rose Garden on June 29.

“As part of the Storm’s invitation to the White House in
honor of their championship, we created an honorary championship ring for
President Barack Obama personalized with his name and the numeral 1,
symbolizing his position as leader of the free world,” John Baird, director of
brand and corporate communications of Blue Nile tells JCK.

Seattle Storm players were presented with the championship
ring, “The Arena”—which features the Storm S surrounded by the 2010
championship year, the WNBA logo, and the recipient’s name—during a pregame
ceremony on the team’s opening day, June 4.
