Calming blue Aquamarine is the birthstone for March, delighting many a fan of the stone commonly found in pale pastels to deep blue hues. According to the American Gem Trade Association, the stone is said to have “a soothing influence on married couples,” making it an ideal anniversary gift in addition to a thoughtful birthday present. They’re found in countries as varied as Pakistan and Nigeria—with most mined in Brazil—and the pale blue varieties are as covetable as a trip to a vacation destination with waters of the same hue.
