Birks’ U.S. Comps Rise 16 Percent

The company credits a focus on Birks-branded products

Bucking the general trend, Birks Group is celebrating a knockout holiday, with comps at its 18 U.S. stores leaping 16 percent over last year.

Same-store sales at its Canadian division grew 3 percent. Overall company comps jumped 11 percent.

“These results were driven by our focus on our Birks-branded products [and] our marketing campaigns as well as our continued dedication to enhancing customer experience,” said Jean-Christophe Bédos, president and CEO of Birks Group, in a statement.

The company also credited a boost in “its average sales transaction and conversion rates.”

Birks Group operates 17 Mayors stores in Florida and Georgia; one Rolex store in Orlando, Fla.; 26 Birks stores in Canada; and two Brinkhaus stores in Canada.
