BHP Billiton appointed Tim Cutt as president
of its diamonds and specialty products division, effective June 1.
Cutt will be based at BHP Billiton’s offices
in Saskatoon in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
Cutt is currently president of production for
BHP Billiton’s petroleum business, a position he has held since joining the company
in 2007. His began his career with Mobil Oil Corporation, eventually becoming
president of ExxonMobil de Venezuela.
He takes over from Graham Kerr, who led the diamonds
and specialty products division since 2007. Kerr is returning to Australia due
to a family illness and will assume another senior position with the company.
BHP Billiton also announced it will be
relocating its diamonds and specialty products division from Vancouver to
Saskatoon.
