Bergdorf Goodman’s chief takes job with Saks

Ronald Frasch has resigned as chairman and CEO of Bergdorf Goodman to accept a position with Saks Inc., the parent company of Saks Department Store Group and Saks Fifth Avenue.

The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc., which owns and operates Bergdorf Goodman, made the announcement in a statement.

Burton M. Tansky, president and CEO of The Neiman Marcus Group, will serve as interim CEO of Bergdorf Goodman until a successor is named.

The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. operations include the Specialty Retail Stores segment and the Direct Marketing segment. The Specialty Retail Stores segment consists primarily of Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman stores. The Direct Marketing segment conducts both print catalog and online operations under the Neiman Marcus, Horchow, and Chef’s Catalog brand names.
