Bergdorf Goodman and Swarovski Team Up for Holiday Windows

Bergdorf Goodman’s seasonal displays are always over-the-top fabulous, but this year the retailer located at Fifth Avenue and 58th Street gets some extra oomph thanks to Swarovski crystals.

With the appropriate theme of Brilliant Holiday, Bergdorf’s 2015 holiday window displays celebrate the 120th anniversary of Swarovski and the publication of its new book, Swarovski: Celebrating a History of Collaborations in Fashion, Jewelry, Performance, and Design.

Each window celebrates a unique facet of a brilliant holiday theme. For example, Crown Jewels features crystallized suits of armor and a red velvet jewelry box, a Crystal Cavern depicts an amethyst cave, a Crystal Ball looks like a crystal-encrusted fortune teller’s lair, a Treasure Chest features a sculpture of a Swarovski-studded Neptune and friends, and a Birthday Party speaks to the revelry of a grand celebration. Crystals are everywhere! In the furnishings, wallpaper, and chandeliers, some elements are created and curated by fashion designers Johnson Hartig of Libertine, Naeem Khan, and CD Greene.

“We were feeling especially sparkly this holiday season with the exciting opening of our new jewelry salon, and I could think of no better partner than Swarovski to celebrate the enchantment and brilliance of stones,” Linda Fargo, senior vice president, fashion office and store presentation, told the media this fall.

Inside the store, expect to see some proprietary Swarovski gifts made for Bergdorf. Until you can make it there, enjoy the view from your screen.
