A delegation of diamond industry members from Kuwait was the first group invited to Antwerp to facilitate relationships
A new initiative by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) to develop relationships internationally began in Antwerp this week with a visit from members of the Kuwait diamond industry.
The Antwerp Diamond Experience will facilitate visits to Antwerp by representatives from interested companies. The visits are meant to take the face-to-face meetings of trade fairs to a new level, with personalized visits to the diamond market and networking events.
“We have long seen Kuwait as a logical and potentially significant diamond market and trade partner,” said AWDC CEO Ari Epstein in a statement to the Kuwaiti delegation. “Our goal is to provide inside access to Antwerp diamond market and the opportunity to expand your business and learn more about the world’s premier diamond hub. But above all, we wish to use this initiative to get to know one another personally, to build confidence in new trade partners. Particularly in Antwerp, our business is based on trust, and I am confident we will sow the seeds that eventually blossom into long and prosperous relationships.”
Visits with companies from the United States, China, Bahrain, and Turkey are planned for 2016.
