AWCI Offers Free Watch Service Training at JCK Las Vegas

Have you considered offering watch repair service to increase store traffic but don’t know where to start? Do you think your watch technician could learn to be more productive or your shop better equipped?

For answers to all of your watch and clock service needs, visit the American Watchmakers – Clockmakers Institute at the JCK Las Vegas Show, Booth #32065 in the Hall of Time.

Meet with AWCI’s sponsors, and view a series of short demonstrations Sunday and Monday on how to properly perform the watch battery replacement service, waterproof testing, watch timing, and bracelet sizing.

You will able to meet with Michael Kläfiger of Greiner Vibrograf of Switzerland, Paul and Gary Borel of Jules Borel, Pat Cassedy of CasKer, Henry Kessler of Kessler / Renata, Christy Cauble of Leica Microsystems, Jack Kurdzionak of Excells / The Watchmaker, Jim Lubic, AWCI’s Executive Director and others.

You all also be able to pick up lists of recommended equipment and shop layouts; inspect the latest tools from Horotec and Bergeon; learn how to operate the latest watch repair equipment from Greiner and Witschi; examine Borel’s top quality German workbench and Waldmann bench lighting; and check out the ergonomically adjustable chairs by Herman Miller, the cleaning equipment by GemOro, plus much more.

AWCI’s instructor at the JCK Show will be Jack Kurdzionak.  Jack is an AWCI certified watchmaker trained in Switzerland and the USA.  He operates a family owned sales and service center in Stoneham Massachusetts, authorized by many quality brands.  He has worked as a watch repair instructor for twenty years in a private school in the Boston area.  For 13 years, Jack has also authored “From the Workshop,” a monthly column in AWCI’s Horological Times magazine.
