Audemars Piguet this week opened a Miami iteration of its experiential retail space AP House, infusing the city’s vibrancy into the watchmaker’s goal of creating places where watch aficionados can build connection.
The 7,300-square-foot AP House Miami, at 1759 Purdy Ave. in the heart of Miami Beach, is Audemars Piguet’s second Miami-area location; it’s had a retail store in Bal Harbor since 2006. Other AP Houses are located in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, London, Milan, Munich, Tokyo, Singapore, and Bangkok.
Audemars Piguet worked with Miami-based Studio DADO to design AP House Miami. The soft, blush colors and natural materials (including stone and wood) of the interior design hearken back to the Swiss village of Le Brassus, where the 151-year-old Audemars Piguet is based.

“Audemars Piguet is proud to introduce AP House Miami to clients, newcomers, partners, and friends to the region. We look forward to welcoming guests into our newest space that reflects both the spirit of AP and the energy of Miami, defined by hospitality, creativity, and a vibrant cultural point of view,” Louis-Gabriel Fichet, the company’s CEO for the Americas, said in a statement.
The AP House concept is based on the idea of founders Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet living in modern times and creating a space to host people to learn about their love for watches and watchmaking.
At the newest AP House, the true star is its outstanding view of Miami Beach, through oversize windows as well as a large terrace featuring chairs to sink into.

The interior space is set up to move clients through a variety of experiences: a micro-museum of Audemars Piguet classic and modern watches, a watchmaker’s hutch where clients can meet with brand experts to learn about Audemars Piguet or look at new watches.
AP House Miami also has several lounge areas, with plush chairs and expansive couches, for chatting or relaxing. One corner holds a record player with albums as well as books for guests to browse. The decor in general nods to Miami Beach’s modern style, with simple accessories.
Audemars Piguet chose contemporary artwork for the walls and display cases. Featured artists include Brazilian sculptor Sallisa Rosa, who is known for her ceramic work. Other highlights include pieces from the Wilde Gallery in Geneva, which works with the brand on its Audemars Piguet Contemporary art commissioning program.
