The Atlanta Jewelry Show, held Feb. 26-28 at the Cobb Galleria Centre outside Atlanta, saw another year of increased attendance, the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association, organizers of the show, said. In addition, order-writing flourished because of a program that allows buyers to earn airline miles based on their purchases.
In its third run, the “You Buy, You Fly” program, the only trade show loyalty incentive of its kind in the jewelry industry, provides exhibitors with Delta SkyMiles to award their buyers based on orders written at the show.
“We at SJTA are extremely pleased with the attendance numbers and the overwhelmingly positive response from exhibitors,” says Carol Young, executive director, SJTA. “The ‘You Buy, You Fly’ program was once again a tremendous success.
Other buyer services included SJTA U, the show’s extensive seminar program, with in-demand industry topics like the new GIA Diamond Cut Grading System overview, the popular “Tanks on Us” program, which rewards pre-registered attendees with a pre-paid gas card at the show; and the Oscar-themed Buyer Gala on Sunday evening.
“With its great buyer rewards programs, dynamic seminar topics, tremendous selection and reputation for delivering ‘Southern Hospitality,’ the Atlanta Jewelry Show continues to attract a steady base of first-time and returning attendees,” Young says.
The next Atlanta Jewelry Show will be at the Cobb Galleria Centre Aug. 6-8.
