Atlanta Jewelry Show Announces Education Program for August Show

The SJTA U educational series returns to the Aug. 11-13 Atlanta Jewelry Show. Further strengthening the August offerings, SJTA has partnered with leading organizations, such as the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers and the Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America to continue building the full-scale program.

“Education is a vital part of the Atlanta Jewelry Show,” said Carol Young, executive director, Southern Jewelry Travelers Association, producers of the Atlanta Jewelry Show. “We want to arm retailers with the tools and trend information they need to compete in today’s challenging retail environment. We also want to recognize those retailers who go the extra step toward professional development by attending these outstanding programs. That’s one of the reasons why we launched the SJTA Certified Jeweler program. The more ways we all work together to expand our knowledge base and sharpen our professional skills, the better our industry is as a whole.”

SJTA and NAJA announced earlier this year that they would co-locate the NAJA Mid-Year Conference and the Atlanta Jewelry Show for August 2007. This collocation offers a variety of benefits to the members of both organizations, especially on the education front. Atlanta Jewelry Show attendees can look for in-depth presentations highlighting new business-building opportunities for appraisals and vintage jewelry sales among other topics.
