At Your Service: What’s Your Store’s Dress Code?

Every week we ask retailers how they handle client requests, questions, and conundrums. This week we shined the spotlight on the opposite side of the counter and asked retailers: “What’s your store’s dress code—and why does it make sense for your business?”

My jewelry store is all online, so pajamas, work-out clothes or anything is acceptable!—@loveislovebykl via Twitter

We have a small family business. My grandmother and aunt dress closer to formal than casual and I have a few polos with the business name embroidered on it. I spend the majority of the day in the back doing repairs (you know how messy polishing can be). I think it’s important to dress to impress when dealing with clientele or possible customers.
