Armed men rob a traveling jewelry salesman in South Florida

Two armed men ambushed and robbed a jewelry salesman of more than $200,000 dollars in jewels Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to a television news report.

The victim was robbed outside a Sheraton Hotel located, shortly after he arrived in his rental car, South Florida’s CBS4 News reports. It’s believed the thieves followed the salesman from the airport.

The thieves were reportedly dressed in black and wearing goggles, pulled in behind the rental car, smashed the car windows, and flattened two tires before reaching into the car and grabbing a case full of jewels.

The crime was over in an instant, according to the report. Nobody was hurt and the suspects did not fire their guns.
