Celebrity Stylist Abby Arad Teams With Oak and Luna on a Capsule Jewelry Kit

Celebrity stylist Abby Arad’s collaboration with Oak and Luna highlights the 24 jewelry pieces everyone should own—and the resulting collection and its marketing are an intriguing answer to a ubiquitous industry question: How do you get Gens Z and Alpha to buy jewelry?

In mid-September, the Los Angeles–based creative debuted her Oak and Luna capsule styling kit with what she calls the most essential jewelry pieces. The Kit is designed to complete any outfit with everything from a statement necklace to a simple cuff to dramatic earrings.

Prices range from $50 for a hat charm to $110 for a gold-tone stacking ring to $180 for the panther-shape drop earrings with tassel chains of gold-plated brass.

Abby Arad said many of the pieces in The Kit use tassels not only because they are on trend but because they move with the wearer.

“It’s been a longtime dream of mine to create a jewelry capsule wardrobe: a collection of effortless, impactful pieces you can reach for every day,” Arad said in a statement. “It’s not about wearing 15 things but rather the right things: statement pieces that feel like art and armor, that are comfortable enough to wear all day, easy to style, and instantly elevating. The designs are inspired by some of my favorite vintage statement pieces from the ’70s, reimagined through my own lens.”

Oak and Luna said it wanted to partner with Arad for her core philosophy, which appeals to anyone struggling to put together complete ensembles: “Clothes get you halfway there; jewelry finishes the look.”

“No outfit is complete without jewelry,” Oak and Luna tells JCK of the collaboration. “There are a few elements at play here that range from using gold and stones to brighten a look and create visual interest. This also relates to movement—we incorporated a lot of tassels throughout the collection because they move so beautifully when you walk.

Arad added multiple ring options including several cocktail styles with prices from $120 for the silver and $140 for the gold tone. Gemstone options include agate, lapis, and aventurine.

“There’s also a vibe we can create with jewelry—you can put on the gothic letter necklace, or you can put on a string of pearls. They’re both going to add two very different feelings to the outfit that goes way beyond the clothes,” the brand says.

Perhaps the most interesting piece from The Kit is the Tassel Tie necklace. At $150, it is an everyday splurge that any Gen Z woman who just got her first job could afford. Arad has styled it as both a necklace and a belt, making it a multiuse item that makes sense for any jewelry fan.

Another great Kit must-have is the Gothic Letter necklace. The oversize letter lets the wearer personalize their jewelry easily—use your own first initial or one of someone you love—and its simple black cord keeps it interesting. Arad said the Gothic Letter is inspired by her favorite street art, and the personalization aspect keeps it on trend.

In Arad’s Substack newsletter, Your Stylist Says, Arad said she worked with Oak and Luna on The Kit for nearly a year, hoping to create something useful for her styling clients and anyone who wants to feel finished when they step out of their house. “My goal is always low lift, high impact, and I think these pieces do just that,” she wrote.

Arad also has worked with other jewelry brands, including At Present. There, Arad curated a jewelry edit with upscale looks for work and play.
