Applications Being Accepted for Grand Central Terminal’s 2013 Holiday Fair

Artisans of handmade goods interested in participating in the Grand Central Terminal Holiday Fair at the historic Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Station in New York City should submit applications online by June 14.

The 2013 edition takes place from Nov. 18 to Dec. 24, and its emphasis is on local- and American-made merchandise. Artisans from around the country are encouraged to apply.

Selected participants have the opportunity to sell items to the more than 1 million shoppers who visit the terminal each year, according to Grand Central Terminal staff, which organizes the 20-year-old event. Additionally, vendors have been known to pick up wholesale accounts because of the fair’s high profile location. Vendors include artisans of home goods, clothing, artwork, jewelry, and more, and space exists for just 76 merchants.

The terminal maintains that the sale is the longest-running indoor holiday market in New York City. For applications, log onto grandcentralterminal.com.
