The company declined to provide more sales details
Apple Watch sales set a “record” this holiday, Apple says—but it still refuses to offer specific sales figures.
“It was also our best quarter ever for Apple Watch, both units and revenues, with holiday demand so strong that we couldn’t make enough,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said, according to a Seeking Alpha transcript. “Apple Watch is the best-selling smartwatch in the world.… We couldn’t be more excited about Apple Watch.”
Cook did not provide any more information. In its financial reports, the company lumps the watch in with “Other Products,” including Apple TV and Beats headphones.
Apple’s ongoing reluctance to give concrete sales details has led to some skepticism, as evidenced by this Tweet:
