Antwerp World Diamond Centre Thanks Industry for Support

The organization extended its thanks for the outpouring of support following the attacks in Brussels

The Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) extends its thanks to the global diamond community for its support following the attacks in Brussels on March 22.

“The outpouring of sympathy, support, and solidarity for the people of Belgium has been overwhelming,” said CEO Ari Epstein in a statement. “At times like these, one realizes that despite our particular interests, deep down we are part of a global community, and the diamond industry is a microcosm of that community. On behalf of AWDC and all the members of the Belgian diamond community we represent, I would personally like to thank all those who have reached out to express their concern and support.”

Thirty-one people died, and 230 were wounded in three bomb attacks in Brussels on March 22.
