The Belgian diamond industry held a special gala on Oct. 25 in Antwerp to celebrate the 30th anniversary of shipper Malca-Amit.
Among the attendees was the mayor of Antwerp, Patrick Janssens, who declared: “Antwerp is the capital of the world’s diamond industry and Malca-Amit is a world leader in valuable transportation—the perfect combination.”
Also attending were Antwerp’s vice-mayor Luc Van Campenhout, master diamond cutter Gabriel Tolkowsky, and Antwerp World Diamond Center president Nishit Parikh.
In 2010, the company moved more than $50 billion in high-value commodities.
