Antwerp World Diamond Centre Elects David Gotlib President

Share

In what’s considered a sign of a “new generation” taking over Antwerp’s leadership, David Gotlib has been appointed the new president of Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC).

He replaces Chaim Pluczenik, head of the De Beers sightholder Pluczenik.

The board also elected two new vice presidents, Sahag Arslanian, managing director of the Arslanian Group, and Amish Jain, owner of N.N. Diamonds.

Gotlib is a third-generation diamantaire, representing midstream company IDRP Group. He’s also created an eponymous jewelry and cufflink brand, and some believe he will urge local companies to spread their wings and vertically integrate.

“it will be an honor to continue the hard work of my predecessors, ensuring Antwerp can continue on a path of growth,” Gotlib said in a statement.
