Wondering how much that hand-me-down Patek Philippe is really worth? Antiquorum, the New York City–based auction house specializing in fine Swiss timepieces, is hosting a valuation day at LaViano Jewelers in Englewood, N.J., May 2.

The company’s watch experts will dole out complimentary estimates for your Patek Philippe, Rolex, or other high-end timepiece. The auction house is scouring the area for timepieces to put up for its June 12 sale on consignment, though you’re certainly free to take the gratis valuation and run (or use it to sell a piece in your own store).
The open call-style pricing days have been historically been very successful for Antiquorum. “We really find a lot of great pieces when we do this,” says Michelle Halpern, public relations and marketing manager for the company, who estimates that the auction house’ experts have priced pieces ranging from $100 to $100,000 at public valuations. “We have a great relationship with LaViano, and have found some very valuable pieces through them in the past.”
