Amazon Opens Wearable Tech Store

Amazon has opened a Wearable Technology store, featuring smartwatches and activity-tracking bracelets.

Despite all the talk of wearable tech branching into smart rings and necklaces, there aren’t any currently on the site. The site does include wearable cameras and wearables for babies and pets.

Samsung’s Galaxy Gear is currently the site’s most popular smartwatch. The Fitbit Flex Wireless Activity + Sleep Wristband is listed as the most popular activity tracker.

In a statement, John Nemeth, Amazon’s director of wireless and mobile electronics, called wearable technology “an exciting category with rapid innovation.”
