Amazon is in “ongoing talks” to purchase Net-A-Porter, the London-based luxury e-tailer, according to a report from WWD.
The company is currently owned by Richemont, which acquired it in 2010.
Analysts put the value of Net-A-Porter at between $1.3 billion and $1.64 billion, according to the report.
Amazon has long sought to enter the luxury arena. It was announced in February that the company will sponsor the first-ever Men’s Fashion Week in New York this summer.
Neither company responded to inquiries by press time.
