Alrosa Resumes Trading Operations



Alrosa, the Russian diamond mining company, sold $150 million worth of goods to the market in July and has resumed its trading operations according to the company’s website.

The majority of the sales were to the company’s long term contract clients.  

Alrosa expects to sell $100 million worth of goods to Kristall, Russia’s largest diamond manufacturer, by the end of the year, as well as resume rough supply to local diamond manufacturers in Sakha, Russia.  Alrosa also expects to “sizeably increase market supply.”
