Total diamond sales for the month were $439 million
Alrosa has released its October 2016 sales results.
The Russian diamond mining company had $430.8 million in rough diamond sales and $8.2 million in polished diamond sales, for a total of $439 million.
“Demand remained strong in October, even on the threshold of the holiday season during the celebration of Diwali in India, the largest cutting and polishing center,” said Yury Okoemov, Alrosa vice president, in a statement.
