The 83.59 ct. stone was unearthed in February
Alrosa has named a 83.59 ct. diamond Mother of Russia, in homage to the mothers in the country.
The diamond was uncovered from the Yubileynaya pipe, also known as the Jubilee pipe, in February.
Alrosa president Andrey Zharkov signed an order bestowing the name after a meeting of the special commission.
The stone is an octahedron shape and transparent with a yellow hue.
