Known for its classic Italian design elements, Alisa‘s line of jewelry is bursting with basket-weave texture, silky sterling silver, and a mix of diamonds and colored gemstones. When I stopped by its booth, located in LUXURY during JCK Las Vegas last year (Alisa will be there again this year, too!), I was taken through a pretty immersive collection, with its newer pieces being done up in yellow gold—a departure from the brand’s traditional silver or two-tone designs. This was the beginning of the Traversa collection, a new direction for Alisa, which set a number of its designs prominently in 18k yellow gold, manufactured jointly in Italy and the United States. The goal: to fill the void of many retailers looking to stock affordable gold jewelry, where the prices for substantial pieces in gold were out of reach of many of their customers.
“The Traversa Gold collection meets a more moderate price point that today’s consumers are seeing in fine 18k gold and diamond jewelry, but most often cannot find,” says Fred Morgan, co-owner and director of sales and marketing for Alisa. “At $1,000 to $2,000 suggested retail, this collection fills the sweet-spot price range that jewelers need for their customers but have been missing since 2007 when the price of gold escalated. The type of merchandise that most jewelery retailers have in this product category generally starts at around $3,000 and climbs from there.”
These are some of Alisa’s newest standout pieces. If you’re a fan of the all-silver or two-tone pieces, don’t worry! They’re still available and just as gorgeous as ever. (I’ve included some of my recent favorites for you to see.) Be sure to stop by and visit Alisa in LUXURY at Booth LUX811, May 26–June 1. (Note: May 26–28 is by invitation only.)
