Slane & Slane announced Wednesday the appointment of Alexander Vreeland as president and chief operating officer effective immediately.
Vreeland ran communications for Polo Ralph Lauren in the late 80’s, was executive vice president of sales and licensing for Giorgio Armani for 12 years and co-founded and co-managed G.A.V., a company that had the licenses to design, manufacture and sell Calvin Klein’s secondary apparel lines. He recently returned from Paris where he was CEO of D. Porthault. Alexander has been doing consulting work for luxury brands as well as private equity investors.
Marion Davidson left the company earlier this week to pursue other interests.
