Alex and Ani boasted 5,200 percent growth over the last three years, landing it in 53rd place on Inc. magazine’s annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.
Alex and Ani’s annual revenue totaled $230 million last year, the magazine said, and it was ranked as the third fastest-growing private retailer.
This is the fourth time the company has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies. Last year, it ranked 94th.
The company just opened a store in Buffalo, N.Y., and plans to open stores in Pittsburgh and Sarasota, Fla., this fall.
In a statement, company founder and creative director Carolyn Rafaelian said the company was expanding into leather goods.
