Alex and Ani has created an app integrating symbology with shopping.
The app was developed in partnership with mobile agency Prolific Interactive and features original content, including explanations of symbols, astrology readings, a gift guide, and personalized product recommendations.
“The launch of the Alex and Ani app represents a huge investment for the brand and further underscores our commitment to the e-commerce and mobile space,” said president Harlan Kent. “The app, which is a seamless blend of content and commerce, will give our guests a daily touch point to our brand.”
To celebrate the release of the app, during the month of October, the company will donate $1 for each download, up to $50,000, to the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
It is available for free in the Apple App Store. (No word on whether it will be released for Android.)
