In five years, the company has donated proceeds from its Charity by Design Program, which creates unique charms in honor of specific charities, to 44 charities worldwide
Alex and Ani has announced that in the five years of its Charity by Design program, it has donated more than $30 million to 44 charities worldwide.
The Charity by Design program partners with charities that promote empowerment, sustainability, wellness, creativity, and action. For each partnership, Alex and Ani creates a custom charm, and 20 percent of the sales of that charm are donated to the charity.
“In five years, I have watched Charity by Design grow from our very first charm design (pictured, above) with Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island to the now 44-plus organizations that we partner with on a regional, national, and global scale,” said Nicki Maher, senior vice president. “Today, we thank you, our amazing fans and supporters, as we celebrate the milestone of reaching more than $30 million in donations back to communities across the world.”
The company is celebrating the program’s fifth anniversary with a web and social campaign highlighting the charities it has partnered with.
