Former COO Cindy DiPietrantonio transitioned to her new post in a “natural, organic way,” the company says
Alex and Ani has appointed Cindy DiPietrantonio the brand’s new president.
She has been with the Cranston, R.I.–based “positive energy” charm brand since July, serving as interim chief operating officer.
In a statement, the company said that DiPietrantonio’s “transition to president happened in a very natural, organic way.”
DiPietrantonio comes to the post with 30 years of leadership experience. From 2014 to 2016, she served as interim president of Sheex Performance Bed Sheets and Sleepwear, where she increased sales 400 percent. Prior to that, she was chief operating officer of The Jones Group, the apparel and footwear company.
She replaces Harlan Kent, the former Yankee Candle CEO who resigned in May after serving as president for a year.
DiPietrantonio reports to founder and CEO Carolyn Rafaelian.
“Cindy’s ability to lead and inspire speaks for itself,” Rafaelian said in a statement. “As we continue our journey as a global brand, she is helping to position the company for future growth, refining our go-to-market strategy. We welcome Cindy to the Alex and Ani family with full confidence and love.”
