AGTA GemFair Tucson Sees Increase in Buyers

The American Gem Trade Association reported Thursday that the 2010 AGTA GemFair Tucson had an increase in buyer traffic over the 2009 show.

A total of 8176 registered buyers attended the event, a 7% increase over last year. The show was held February 2-7 at the Tucson Convention Center.

Social and networking events saw good numbers as well, including the ICA Reception on February 3 where ICA, GIA and AGTA produced a tribute to Campbell Bridges. The AGTA Dinner Dance, sponsored by the Diamond Council of America also drew a nice crowd for the presentation of the 2010 AGTA Spectrum AwardsTM.

AGTA recorded approximately 25 of the seminars and they will be available shortly. The DVD will contain the audio and PowerPoint presentations and will be provided at no charge to AGTA members and for only $50 to non-members. For more information, contact sales@agta.org or call 800-972-1162 to order.
