Educational offerings by the American Gem Society during the JA New York Show and the SJTA Show in Atlanta offer attendees a roadmap to success, the society said.

Leading the Way to More Sales, an AGS presentation will be held, July 25 at 1:15 pm at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, New York City during the JA NY show. The program will also be presented on Sunday, August 8 at 11:15 am at the Cobb Galleria, in Atlanta, Georgia during the SJTA Show.

Leading the Way to More Sales presented by Diane Flora, CGA, education director of the AGS, will discuss how industry volunteerism and memberships can lead the way to more sales. Involvement with industry organizations such as AGS, AGTA, and JA bring value to the retail consumer by demonstrating your commitment to knowledge and ethics, including disclosure issues. On-going education helps keep jewelers current on gemological and business topics and help sustain a high level of integrity throughout the industry. Applying community volunteerism enhances professional image and results in more sales.
