The terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C., and the resulting aftermath has caused the American Gem Society (AGS) to postpone its annual Fall Board Meeting, which was scheduled to be held tomorrow and Friday (Sept. 13-14) in Vancouver, Canada, and an AGS spokesperson said.
This fall meeting is one of three board meetings that AGS holds each year. The fall meeting is traditionally in the city in which they are going to have their next AGS Conclave. This gives the board members a chance to see the conclave site and report back to the membership. The Conclave is scheduled April 24-27 in Vancouver.
The meeting will be rescheduled, the spokesperson said.
