Jesse Cole (pictured), founder of Fans First Entertainment and owner of the Savannah Bananas, will be keynote speaker at the American Gem Society’s 2024 Conclave.

Cole will speak on Monday, April 15. The 2024 Conclave will be held April 15–17 in Austin, Texas.

Cole has turned the Bananas, a baseball exhibition team, into the “Greatest Show in Sports,” with sold-out games since 2016, a waitlist of over 600,000, and a global fanbase, the AGS said. The team has been featured on the Today Show, CBS Sunday Morning, HBO’s Real Sports, and ESPN+.

In a statement, Denise Richards, chair of the Conclave subcommittee, said Cole embodies 2024’s theme: “keeping Conclave weird.”

“His novel approach to business aligns with…encouraging us to embrace the unconventional and find joy in the unexpected,” she said.

Other prominent speakers at Conclave this year:

– Rachel Tipograph, founder and CEO of MikMok, an e-commerce platform, will discuss digital marketing on April 15.

– Mick Ebeling, founder of Not Impossible Labs, will give tips on using technology for storytelling, at a breakfast on April 16.

– Organizational psychologist and bestselling author Dr. Tasha Eurich will provide insights on thriving in a dynamic world, also on the 16th.

– Peter Katz, a singer-songwriter, will look at ways to inspire connection, at the event’s final breakfast, on April 17.
