Touting the success of its first event, About J, the Vicenza Fair event dedicated to top Italian jewelry designs for select buyers, will be held in Milan Feb. 22 to 24, 2009.
Billed as the “Ultimate jewelry Event,” the 2009 edition will take place close to Milan Fashion Week, confirming its bond with the luxury markets and the link between jewelry and fashion.
The 2009 edition of the show will be held at East End Studios, a former airplane factory that has been transformed to accommodate modern, world-class events.
The entrance is exclusively reserved to the AJ Card holders, guaranteeing the J Community, composed of selected exhibitors, buyers, press and industry people. The event includes an open bar, free light lunches, courtesy shuttles to and from the hotels, and gala evenings.
About 250 select international buyers from around the world—particularly from Russia and former Soviet Union countries, East Europe, Middle East, Caribbean, South America, China, and Japan—will view the jewelry designs of 350 top Italian companies, representing the high-end market.
The AJ entertainment program will include three days of events during the Milan Fashion Week.
The official About J opening gala will be on Feb. 22 at Palazzo Mezzanotte, home of the Milan Stock Exchange. Special guests will be the Paris band, Festival.
