A Note on the Connecticut School Shooting

Yesterday’s awful news from Newtown, Conn., is another stark reminder that evil will never completely be eradicated.

But we can make progress together as generations before us have by engaging in a grand, passionate, all-inclusive conversation that seeks to find solutions to the issues that face our nation. Let’s not forget that our greatest weapon against terror is our collective voice.

The country—including the jewelry industry—came together recently after Super Storm Sandy to do our part to take care of those most affected. Surely, we can do it again.

Because we can do better. And we must.

All my thoughts are with the people of Newtown, Conn. Say a prayer this weekend to the memories of those young lights that were extinguished, and to the lights still with us that must continue to shine bright.
