From Valérie Danenberg’s Versicolor collection is a delicate 18k white gold bracelet set with 8.50 cts. t.w. diamonds and 8 cts. t.w. sapphires. The French jewelry designer made the piece specifically to wrap around the wrist, “like silk ribbons,” she explains in an email interview.
“It is a unique piece,” she continues. “This one feels like a second or ‘organic skin’ as the pink, blue, yellow, and green sapphire petals delicately float on the diamond lianas.”
The piece is already sold for $25,000, and Danenberg will deliver it to its new American owner, a private consumer client, in New York City next week. However, she could be persuaded to make another similar style. “I am thinking of making another one because it is being featured in a Russian magazine,” she explains.
