It’s simply unavoidable. Frozen is everywhere. It’s taking over our televisions, our theme-park rides (maddening), and most likely the majority of our Halloween costumes this year. If you’re a parent, you’ve probably heard “Let It Go” more times than you care to count (and probably enjoyed it more than you care to admit, too). But for the most part, the instant Disney classic doesn’t enter our lives except through your kids’ obsession with it and a trip to a Disney theme park. Until now.
Last year, Bridal Week was all about pink, showcasing brides in all manner of blushing hues. But this year, Queen Elsa look-alikes ruled the land, falling snow included (over at Theia and Ines di Santo, they really made it snow!). There was even a special Queen of Arendelle–inspired dress created specifically for the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collection, by Alfred Angelo (above). Yes, this was a spring 2015 show, but who says the bride has to wait?
Even if your customers aren’t Frozen fans, imagine a dress like this for a winter wedding. The snow falls, icicles catch the light just right, glitter accents flower bouquets and dots the bride’s walk down the aisle. It’s undeniable, the beauty of a flowy, pale blue gown (top, Alfred Angelo), or the ice queen-esque brocade of the high-neck gown (above, Theia). Paired with silvery accents and glittering accessories, the bride sparkles like falling snow, sweeping the attention from every guest who attends.
So if you have winter brides searching for the perfect wedding-day accessories, look no further. Here are some of my favorites, which would make even the coolest of ice queens melt to pieces. Stock them now, and in the meantime, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman”?
