7 Memorable Jewelry Looks From the 2018 People’s Choice Awards

The 44th annual People’s Choice Awards, which was newly minted the E! People’s Choice Awards this year, lured an avalanche of big-name TV, film, and music industry stars to the cavernous Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., last night.

And while the performances felt outsized—John Legend sang a stripped-down version of U2’s “Pride (In the Name of Love),” and Rita Ora performed with a gaggle of male dancers—the evening’s jewelry offerings were largely sleek and chic, not over-the-top.

Of course, celebs still brought their diamonds (and their emeralds, too!). Here are our favorite jewelry looks from this year’s E! People’s Choice Awards:

Actress Danai Gurira, who won an award for Best Action Movie Star for her work in Black Panther, accessorized her fun Brock Collection dress with incredible Messika diamond jewelry: an open ring tipped with pear- and emerald-cut diamonds and a diamond-studded hoop earring anchoring a massive pear-cut diamond. Her stylist, Thomas Carter Phillips, detailed the jewels in another Instagram post (below).

Rita Ora paired dazzling, diamond ear climbers with her bejeweled Versace dress; for her performance, she layered up the diamonds with a retro-feeling tiered necklace and blingy earrings (see photo at top).

Busy Philipps wore a multicolored gemstone and diamond necklace from Irene Neuwirth from her Botanical collection. No surprise there—Philipps is the face of the jewelry designer’s first-ever marketing campaign, which was recently released.
