Greetings from Mumbai, India, where I have been attending the India International Jewellery Show, sponsored by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council. Indian jewelry is big and beautiful, and though many of the jewelers cater strictly to an Indian market, I loved exploring the show and jewels within. But the other thing about jewelry in India is that it is everywhere—and so are the ads for it.
Back at the hotel, I was flipping through The Taj, the luxury magazine of the Taj Group, and thought it would be fun to share a few tears from those pages (apologies for the truly awful camera-phone shots).
