Though the armed robber pistol-whipped an employee, there were no serious injuries
A Hollywood, Fla., jewelry store was robbed of a half-million dollars in merchandise on Feb. 14.
O.F. Jewelers is usually closed Sundays but planned to open Sunday for Valentine’s Day shoppers.
A masked man entered the store just after 9 a.m., pistol-whipped an employee, and then locked both employees in the bathroom.
The employee who was pistol-whipped sustained minor injuries but did not go to the hospital.
The Broward County police department is offering $3,000 for information on the robbery.
